The organization Together We Stand Tall 4 Girls will host "Take Charge," an outreach event, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sat., July 22, at the Lincoln Park Community Center, 979 Grenshaw in Acres Homes. Its aim is helping women in an underserved community to become self-sustaining, get on a path to reaching life goals, and elevating their economic situation. Attorneys will be on hand to help correct criminal records, along with staffing companies, food vendors, transportation companies, trade schools, and colleges, including the financial aid office of Lone Star College.
