If you're trying your best to stay away from the junk at your office Christmas party Dr. Andrew Weil (he's a holistic doctor) says there are 4 things to keep off your plate. On the list are fried foods, dips, meatballs or cocktail franks, and foie gras. Need a few ideas for better choices? Click here to see what the doc recommends.
My daughter, Chael, put this on my Facebook page. It's what letters to Santa look like these days. Click here to look and share on your Facebook page. Really????

We just found out that my oldest daughter needs to follow a gluten-free diet from now on. So the question is, how do I accommodate her during the Christmas meal I'll be making? Lucky for me I don't have to work too hard to make it happed-there's an app for that! My daughter sent me a link to the ShopWell app. Use it to scan a product at the grocery store to tell you if it's gluten-free. If it's not it will recommend a similar product that is. If you need to start or would like to add a new Christmas tradition you might think about doing what blogger mom Tracey Deupree does. Every year on Christmas Eve she or her husband writes a letter to their son to highlight the things he's done and to just tell him how much they appreciate him. They then put that letter into a homemade ornament that he opens Christmas morning. Click here to see the ornament she made and what the letters look like. I LOVE this idea!
