We just found out that my oldest daughter needs to follow a gluten-free diet from now on. So the question is, how do I accommodate her during the Christmas meal I'll be making? Lucky for me I don't have to work too hard to make it happed-there's an app for that! My daughter sent me a link to the ShopWell app. Use it to scan a product at the grocery store to tell you if it's gluten-free. If it's not it will recommend a similar product that is. If you need to start or would like to add a new Christmas tradition you might think about doing what blogger mom Tracey Deupree does. Every year on Christmas Eve she or her husband writes a letter to their son to highlight the things he's done and to just tell him how much they appreciate him. They then put that letter into a homemade ornament that he opens Christmas morning. Click here to see the ornament she made and what the letters look like. I LOVE this idea!
Amazing what a stapler and a little ribbon can do for your mantel.
Are you feeling pretty frazzled these days trying to keep up with everything for the holidays? This one sentence just might change your outlook-"Assume Positive Intent". Blogger Tim Schurrer says that when he used to work for Apple it was their practice to believe that all customers should be treated as if they have the BEST intentions. Tim has a great story to share regarding that and it completely changed my day for the better. Click here to see it.
