Catch me in the mornings with Dana and again in the afternoon, right here on Sunny 99.1!
How long have you been in radio?
In 2007, I marked my 25th year in radio broadcasting 16 of those years in Houston at SUNNY 99.1. I came to Houston in July 1991 doing afternoons, and after five years of mornings with Dana, I'm hosting the afternoon show again - cue up "Right Back Where We Started From" by Maxine Nightingale!! I guess you could say radio is in my blood my grandfather was among the first entertainers on America's first radio station, KDKA in Pittsburgh, back in the 1920s and '30s. He would play guitar and sing on a weekly variety show.

What was your first job ever?
I was a dishwasher at the DuBois, Pa., Holiday Inn. I lasted two weeks.

If you were stuck on an island, and you had one CD, what would it be?
The audio book of "Your Best Life Now: 7 Steps to Living to Your Full Potential" by Joel Osteen

Where do you live?
My wife, June, and I live in Sugar Land with our four wonderful blessings: Jamie-Lauren, Sarah-Leanne, Marc Alan and Olivia-Grace.

What are your top five favorite TV shows?
"Boston Legal," "American Idol," "The Office," "Dancing with the Stars." Do Astros, Rockets and Texans games count as TV shows????

What are your top five favorite movies? "It's a Wonderful Life," "The Godfather" Parts I and II (III was a bust), "Goodfellas," "The Shawshank Redemption."

Favorite Interviews on the show:
  • Sandra Bullock - We asked her how she got that beautiful scar next to one of her eyes. We didn't expect the wonderful story that came with it.
  • Harry Connick, Jr. - His passion for the rebuilding of New Orleans is incredible. He's a nice guy, too.
