I'm going to continue to spotlight different kids books this week, because I think it's important to keep our kids reading during the summer. Here's a picture of my daughters reading their new favorite book:
Remember, each of these books will be an out-of-the-ordinary, yet very cool, children's book.
Now, I present to you... Day 3:
Poopy Claws by Gene Ambaum & Sophie Goldstein
This is a book about being accepted. Both of the authors are cat lovers (like me) and tell a story of a boy that loves his cat, in spite of the cats bad behavior, and how the cat becomes accepted into the family while learning how to compromise.
I would recommend this to kids that have pets. I love how the boy in this story enjoys playing with his cat. He includes his cat in everything he does from the backyard to the dinner table.
There are some litter box issues that the family deals with, so be ready to explain that to your child if they're unfamiliar with kitty ownership.
My daughter really loves this book. She thought it was hilarious and still laughs when she reads it.
