Dana Tyson

I have been waking up at 3 a.m. for 17 years, now ... heading to my morning show job on SUNNY.

I've been married for 22 years and have five children, ages 20, 18, 16, 14, and 11. I decided to do morning radio because that was the most high-energy part of the day for the kids, and I wanted my husband, Bob, to deal with that. I get them in the afternoons when we are all tired!

My job and my life go hand in hand. SUNNY's audience is made up of mostly women like me, dealing with kids, husbands, and women's issues, so the job and my life intermingle.

It's wonderful to meet and talk with listeners, and so much fun to chat with people who entertain us ... whether it's singers or actors. Meeting The Cheetah Girls was great, but my favorite all-time interview was with Will Ferrell......until I met Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson!

Every time I hear or read the bios of media people, they always mention all the awards they've won ... so I will too! After losing my trophy to Channel 2's morning anchor Owen Conflenti in 2006, I am proud to announce that I have regained for 2007 the RodeoHouston Goat Milking Championship that I won back in 2005. Unfortunately in 2008 I lost it....I think it was a conspiracy and Owen was behind it.
