My neighborhood is just beginning to turn an array of autumn hues. The morning dew is back and a slight chill has returned in the air. Hot tea in the morning is sounding better and better. In my garden I’m growing pumpkins! They should be ready to harvest early next month and soon the farmhouse will be filled with the scent of pumpkin pie, roasted pumpkin seeds and pumpkin bread!
This is a great time of year to gift a seasonal treat like a loaf of pumpkin bread or homemade apple cider mix to a dear friend. I love homemade and home baked gifts this time of year. You can just taste the love that went into making it.
If you’re giving gifts, then make sure you wrap up a copy of my new book, Arms Full of Love, to give with it. It’s sort of hand made. Every story in the book is hand picked, does that count? A lot of love went into this book and it shows in the content. Give a gift that warms the tummy and another to warm the heart on the first cool nights of the new season. My book will be available to purchase on Tuesday, September 25th in bookstores, retailers and wherever else books are sold.
Join me each and every night of the week for love songs and stories on the radio, and allow me to take you and your family to a peaceful resting place in the evening hours. I’ll be there to take your mind off work and school and the pressures of the day, and remind you to slow down and love someone.
