It's time to let go of the junk in your life. I'm talking about the figurative junk that fills up your head and your heart and makes it really hard to feel normal or happy. When you have junk in your life, such as a bitterness, jealously, anger or resentment, it consumes you. And when you clean it out, you can then fill the void left behind with much happier thoughts and memories.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard the story about the person who is so embittered by a bad breakup that hating the other person consumes their thoughts and practically their whole life. It’s okay to be angry, but eventually you have to allow yourself to move on from something like that or it will imprison you in a bad place. Let go of anger and resentment so you can fill that void with something positive. Don’t let someone that has hurt you continue to do so after they’re long gone.

Maybe your sweetheart isn’t that sweet to you or maybe your friend isn’t that friendly. Maybe you need to let go of the toxic people who are holding you back. Do a little spring cleaning in the social department. It’s hard to walk away from someone and let all that history go, but let’s face it, if that someone only makes you confused or upset and brings you more tears than smiles, let go and make room in your heart and in your schedule for someone deserving of you.

Let go of life’s junk. Maybe that literally means cleaning out the tangible junk in your life. Cleaning house and home or a storage closet or a bedroom can make you feel extremely accomplished. I have a big family and therefore a lot of stuff, so I have to do this often as they continue to grow, acquire new hobbies and interests…and shoes. It feels so good to clean it out and donate it! Let go of the junk and start to live a better life.
