This summer I'm going to let you guys into my bookshelf to see what I'll be packing away to read at the beach. Every Monday, you can check out a new blog from me about what page turner I have tucked into my beach bag and register to win a night at Moody Gardens Hotel and a Kindle Reader, thanks to my friends at the Galveston Island Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Author Emily Giffin has such a great way of bringing reader personally into her stories. In the novel "The One and Only," we meet 33-year-old Shea Rigsby who lives in a small town right here in Texas. When a tragedy hits the town, Shea begins to see life and those around her in a different light.
Though most of Giffin's novels may be regarded as "chick lit" or "light," this is tale of finding your passion, trusting yourself, and believing that there may be something out there that's bigger than you.
